Klipsch Subwoofer 12

I had just been looking for a sub that wasn't way up there price-wise and produced great sound. This sub was just right. My system consists of Klipsch WF Series speakers with a pioneer elite receiver. Previously I had been using a Yamaha 8" sub, but felt that I wasnt getting the sound I really wanted. So I went on ahead and skipped 10 inches altogether and got a 12", mainly because I have moved a lot during the last few years and my room sizes have varied a lot. So if I were to need more sound, I can just crank it up. And if its too much, I can dial it down. The sound just blows me away. Even at low volumes I get that sound i want from it. My only complaint is that you kind of have to work a bit to put the grille in place on the bottom pair clips. Everything else works perfect. Also, the market place store from which I bought it from didn't bother to place it inside another box. I was a bit concerned that it might of have gotten damaged or something, because of the condition of the box. But Im glad that the speaker was fine. I was surprised to have gotten it as fast as I did with free shipping. So far no problems or other annoyances. If anything comes up, Ill be sure to update. Im still in the process of breaking it in, so it will sound even better over time.

Purchased this subwoofer from sound distributors,which is a authorized dealer,received on time in perfect shape,great bass for my rf-62II system,strong and tight,not sloppy,takes a couple weeks to break in,movies,blu-ray,cd,dvd all sound great,won't be disappointed.

This sub absolutely kills. My first experience (after I spent forever EQ'ing it because my receiver had dampened the volume - it was too loud for the receiver's liking) was in Assassin's Creed 2: Brotherhood. There is a scene when you are discovering the first Brothers of Romulus lair, and you must fill a basin in the center of the room with water. Once you do so, the floor cracks, gives way, and several pillars collapse through the floor, plunging into a pool beneath. It was beautiful. My girlfriend asked, "What the heck was that!?" from the other room. When I run test tones through this thing, which generates half the volume this beast is capable of, it rattles nearly all the windows of my 2,000 sq. ft. house and sends my girlfriend's Australian Shepherd shivering into his crate (he hates thunder).On a slightly more technical note, you can't be disappointed with the frequency response. 26hz means it will hit you HARD in the chest...you might not be able to hear 20-30hz, but man, you feel it big time with this woofer. Because of this, it might not be best for music set-ups because it just hits too hard. If you like hip-hop and rock, it can be EQ'ed to work, and in fact, it's capable of generating some nice, soft base. Klipsch has highly efficient speakers that need very little wattage to operate. However, the point of getting a sub like this is not just to blow your socks off, but to send them into the next room. The 112 does that, and also rattles your windows and sends your dog cowering in fear (if you want to give Fido a break, just turn the volume down). My final verdict would be to say, as with most Klipsch speakers, that it is great for hip-hop/rock/metal and home theater, and good with classical and acoustic (given some EQ'ing)..
